Influenced by skatebording surfing and youth culture in California, Charlyparty explored the world of hip hop and rock through surf and skate videos he still watches diligently. In high school, he bought vinyl records that he turned into mixtape cassettes and exchanged with friends. In 2008 he worked at Ping Pong Communication Agency for notorious electro labels Ninja Tune and Big Dada. He naturally built relationships with international artists such as Spank Rock, Roots Manuva or Daedelus. Charlyparty inherited his nickname by working with the experimental band Official Tourist. In 2010, he directed the documentary "This is California" with them, that ties together all his influences, immersing the viewer in the Californian Youth Culture. In 2011, he became the artistic director at the influencial Scopitone club in Paris where he programmed high quality eclectic performers. With this background, he is now resident in various clubs in Paris such as Carmen, Favela Chic and also organizes evenings and parties at Le Pompon, Bagatelle or Chez Moune, with artists from kinds of styles, such as Blood Orange (NY), The Blackouts(LA), David Piper (London), CC Sheffield etc... Major brands including Martini, Wesc, Etnies, Desigual, Skullcandy or T & B are now hiring him for sound designs or live mixes at events.
