Haya Waska is a DJ whose musical influences are numerous and varied.

Always looking for new sounds and new styles, her first contact with electronic music is made through hardcore and hard techno. At the same time, she discovers other kinds of electronic musics, like electro dub, breakbeat, drum n' bass, jungle and trance.Those sounds have a real magical impact on her, like no other « traditional » music. Machines can speak to her!

Even if she has always admired the work of the DJ, she became one quite late as she had other plans in mind. In 2009 she buys her own decks et she can begin the great adventure of sounds assembling. She begins spinning techno, minimal and tech-house with references like Maxime Dangles, Popof, Julian Jeweil, The Advent, Marco Bailey, Spektre, Butch, Laurent Garnier, Paul Kalkbrenner, Umek, Agoria, Paul Ritch, Paul Kalkbrenner, Pleasurekraft… 

As her technique improves, Haya Waska finds her own style and begins spinning more bassy sounds. And it is when she starts digital mix that things quickly change. Keeping the vinyl format for the feeling, she is seduced by the practical side of this type of DJing and the fact that everything can be played, in every style, with no need to have a proper record.

Today she plays bass music in general, from dubstep (in all its forms) with references like Benga, Caspa, Joker, Jakes, Bar 9, Skream, Datsik, Truth, Akira Kiteshi, Downlink, Excision, 16 bit, Vent, NiT GriT, 501… to glitch hop and neurohop -real revelation for her- with for example Robot Koch, The Glitch Mob, Kraddy, Ooah, ediT, Boreta, Freddy Todd, Bassnectar, Signal Path, VibeSquad, heRobust, Opiuo, Blunt Instrument, MC2, Sugarpill, Pixelord, Tipper, ill.Gates, +verb, Koan Sound, ill-esha, Knight Riderz…, including drum n' bass and drumstep with for instance Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Spor, Forbidden Society, Q-Project, Xilent, Run DMT, Telemetrik, Subvert, Futurebound, Cooh, Camo & Krooked, Gridlock, Neonlight, Prolix…
