MixVibes DJ Contest #4

After the success of its first three DJ Contests and on the occasion of the upcoming “Fête de la Musique”, MixVibes partners with Reebok and MTV for the 4th edition to offer to talented DJs a unique opportunity to show the world what they’ve got…

Surprise us with a personalized mix and come battle in Paris the 8th of June at the Citadium fashion store. The talented Padawan DJ will play at the “Fête de la Musique” next to Cut Killer during his MTV concert on June 21st “Shake ton Booty” in Paris.

Open to all genres and skills, so hop in and get a chance to earn your DJ star!

 

 

 

HOW TO COMPETE

 

Step 1
Register to the event by filling out the form bellow

Step 2
Download the Cut Killer samples and feature them in your mix. This will be taken into account by the jury. Scratch it up, spice it up and make a great mix that will beat the master Cut Killer!
Shooting a live video of your mix is also a bonus.

Step 3
Post your Soundcloud or YouTube and post a link on the Wall of the following event:

Deadline for posting mixes is Friday the 3rd of June

Step 4
The selected DJs will be advised on June the 6th at the latest. If you are selected, get ready to mix in the fashion store Citadium in Paris on Saturday the 8th of June at 17H30 / 5.30 pm

 

 

Additional rules & tips

 

- Shoot yourself while mixing and include Cut Killer samples will be of great help.
- All mixing solutions accepted. Digital solutions such as MixVibes or Serato but also regular vinyl.
- All genres and skills accepted! You can even perform as a duo if you want.
- The winner will perform on MixVibes at the gig on June 21st.

Musik Messe 2011

MixVibes is going to participate in this year’s version of the internationnally recognized tradeshow Musik Messe which will be held on the 6-9th of April in Frankfurt am Main.

 

 

Musik Messe with its 77.000 visitors and 1510 exhibitors is considered as the second biggest music and DJ tradeshow in the world where professionals, semi-professionals and musician get together to discover and try the latest products, meet like-minded and get inspired. 

 

The products we are going to present this year are the U-MIX CONTROL PRO (that won the prize as best DJ controller under 600€ at the MixMove Tech Awards this year), the U-MIX REMOTE, our iPad application that transform your iPad into a wireless controller which works exactly like your U-MIX CONTROL PRO. This application allows you to DJ, move across the dancefloor and let your audience take part of your mix. 

 

We are also going to present CROSS 1.6 with lots of new improved features and the VFX software with its new HID compatibility, which for the first time completely synchronize your VFX with your CDJ 2000 decks!

 

We have invited our DJ’s, M-Rode from the scratch pro team and the internationally famous Dasha Rush who will be with us on Saturday to entertain you with their exceptional DJ Sets. It will contains everything from house, minimal electro, dubstep and drum&bass performed on CROSS and the U-MIX CONTROL PRO.

  

We are also pleased to reveal that MixVibes has been nominated for the DJ Tool Award 2011 competition in the category «Digital Vinyl System» with our solution CROSS PACK which has been rewarded for the second year in a row in the competition «Tech Awards» at the annual DJ fair MixMove in March.

 

CROSS PACK is going to compete against Traktor Scratch Pro and SL3 Serato Scratch Live. The contest will be held during Saturday 9 April in hall 5.1 booth B33.
