The two buildings blocks of Equals that jump out at you when you're listening are the hand-cranked toybox arpeggiated melodies, as well as the numerous vocoded vocal snippets that populate each line of the pack. These are helped along by soft percussion and gently bubbling bass work, giving the impression of a softly-lit lounge bar populated with androids, a slick and impressive work that defies easy classification.
